We warmly welcome you, especially if you are a visitor or will be joining us through the Tape Ministry.

This morning’s service will be based on the ‘just 10’ series and will be led by Church Stewards. (Please see Ruth’s letter in the ‘Lexden Link’ for more information on ‘JUST10.

This week will look at Commandment (10) ‘You shall not covet … anything that belongs to your neighbour’. (EXODUS 20 : v 17)

There will be refreshments after the service.

PRAYER MINISTRY - if you would like prayer for yourself or someone else, team members will be available at the front of the Church after this morning’s service to pray with you.

HU NASH

There will be a short Committal Service for Hu at the Crematorium at 2.00pm on the 9th September with a Service of Thanksgiving for Hu’s life at our Church at 3.00pm. Hu’s request was for this to be a joyous occasion.

We are hoping to accommodate as many people as possible in the Church and the Service will be relayed into the Garling Room.

After the Services there will be Refreshments at PraiseWay (AOG) Church. All are welcome.

Family flowers only please, but donations if desired to Lexden Methodist Church.

  Car-parking arrangements are as follows;

At Lexden Methodist Church - reserved for those who would find difficulty in walking from adjacent car-parking areas.

At Praiseway Church - reserved for use of family and family friends of Chris Nash (and others travelling from a distance who might not know the area).

At Kingsland Church - permission has been given to use any spare places of the 20 reserved for Kingsland at the far side of the Aldi Supermarket car-park off London Road.

At the Council car-park on the London Road (the Colchester side of the row of shops immediately before the traffic lights).

Some non-restricted street parking exists in Chaucer Way (off Straight Road) and Nelson Road (off London Road).

If people attending could car-share where possible this would help.

Please pass on the message about car-parking to anyone they know who might be attending, this would be appreciated.

Please pray for our Minister the Rev'd Ruth Ridge; also this week we pray for Mersea Methodist Church. PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

The Christians inheritance is guaranteed forever!

Thought for the week - THE CHURCH IN SOCIETY

Bible passage: ‘God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display His wisdom in it’s rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places …. Because of Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence’ EPHESIANS 3 : v10,12 (NEW LIVING TRANSLATION)

PRAYER : Lord Jesus Christ, our risen and ascended Saviour! Please fill Your Church with courage, compassion and faith to enable us to stand up for truth, justice and goodness in our world of sin and suffering. Help us to do Your will on earth, as it is in Heaven. Amen.
