A very warm welcome to you, especially if you are a visitor or will be joining us through the Recording Ministry and to Revd Alan Jenkins, our new Superintendent Minister, who is leading worship at our church for the first time this morning.
Please join us for refreshments in the Garling Room after the Service.
Prayer Ministry – if you would like a prayer for yourself or someone else, members of the prayer team will be available at the front of the Church after the morning service.
Recording Ministry – If you do not usually receive a DVD of our services please speak to Stephen Suthernwood or ring him on 01206 540988 to obtain a copy.
Prayer Requests – Cicely and family, Rose & Peter Bobby, Charles & Florrie Cronin, Joan Rouse, Richard & May Walters and Robin Wilkinson.
Please pray for our Minister Revd Ruth Ridge and all those who minister to the people of God, especially this week for Fingringhoe Methodist Church.
The flowers today have been donated by Peter and Rose Bobby in celebration of their 50th Wedding anniversary. They are not with us today as they are having a family celebration and we wish them all well.
Philippines Appeal – we have been asked by our neighbours at Praiseway to help with their collection of tinned fish for the people of the Philippines. Please can you bring your donations of sardines or other tinned fish by next Sunday.
Shoe Boxes –A very big thank you to everyone who contributed. Avril and Nigel were able to take 23 boxes, 10 money donation envelopes and 2 bags of additional gift items to Kingsland Church. They will be blessed before starting their journey to needy children at Christmas.
Lexden Link – the winter edition will be going to print soon so if you have an article or poem you would like share or if there is a Hymn writer you would like to know more about please let Alan or Christine know.
Offerings for last Sunday: £326.00
Beacon House – we are collecting for Beacon House throughout November and there is a box in the entrance vestibule for your donations. Clothing and toiletries are always welcome or see the list of necessities by the notice board. Remember gifts of money are also welcome and there are envelopes available.

Forthcoming Events for Advent and Christmas
Christmas Festival – at Stanway Evangelical Church on Saturday 30th November 10am to 5pm and Sunday 1st December 1:30pm to 5pm. See notice board.
Advent Lunch – Saturday 7th December. This will be in place of our normal Coffee Morning and we will still be collecting for our chosen charity, East Anglia Children’s Homes. Everyone welcome
Crib Service – Thursday 19th December at 10:00am followed by tea/coffee and mince pies. A shared service for Time for Tots and the Morning Prayer group but you don’t have to attend either to come along.
Candlelit Carol Service – Sunday 22nd December at 6:30pm. No need to bring a torch as all the hymns will be on the overhead projector.
Quiet Service – at 10:00am on Christmas Eve, Tuesday 24th December. A time for quiet reflection.
Midnight Holy Communion – at Marks Tey Methodist Church starting at 11:15pm. Service led by Revd Ruth Ridge. Lifts are available – please speak with one of the stewards.
Christmas Day Service – with Revd Ruth Ridge on Wednesday 25th December at 9:45am.
