Notices for Week Commencing 15th December 2013

Third Sunday in Advent

INTROIT – ‘Emmanuel’ SF 83

We offer you a very warm welcome, especially if you are a visitor or will be joining us through the Recording Ministry and to Revd Martin Camroux who is leading our worship this morning.

Please join us for refreshments in the Garling Room after the Service.

Prayer Ministry – if you would like a prayer for yourself or someone else, members of the prayer team will be available at the front of the Church after the morning service.

Recording Ministry – If you do not usually receive a DVD of our services please speak to Stephen Suthernwood or ring him on 01206 540988 to obtain a copy.

PRAYER

Prayer Requests – Cicely and family, Rose & Peter Bobby, Charles & Florrie Cronin, Barbara Duller, Joan Rouse, Richard & May Walters and Robin Wilkinson.

Please pray for our Minister Revd Ruth Ridge and all those who minister to the people of God, especially this week for Wivenhoe Methodist Church.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

General Notices

The flowers today have been donated by Ros Carrington in memory of her brother David.

Christmas Cards – it has been suggested that as usual we give just one card for everyone at church rather that lots of individual cards. Cards can be displayed on the notice board in the Garling Room. There will also be a box for contributions to East Anglia Children’s Hospice.

Stamps – as in previous years we are collecting stamps at Christmas. This is the time of year when everyone gets lots more post. Please carefully cut round the stamps and place them in the box in the entrance vestibule. They will be used to raise money for charity.

Offerings for last Sunday: £319.10

Advent Lunch – a very big thank you to everyone involved in organising the most excellent lunch last Saturday. The cooks, the servers, the quiz master and the furniture re-arranger. The event was enjoyed by all.
