We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor or will be joining us through the Recording Ministry. Our service this morning is being led by our Worship Leaders

Prayer Ministry – if you would like a prayer for yourself or someone else, please speak with one of the Stewards after the morning service.

Recording Ministry – If you do not usually receive a DVD of our services please speak to Stephen Suthernwood or ring him on 01206 540988 to obtain a copy.

Please pray for our Minister Revd Ruth Ridge and all those who minister to the people of God, especially this week for Fingringhoe Methodist Church.

General Notices

Coffee Morning with Bring and Buy this coming Saturday. This month’s charity is World Church/Mission in Britain.

Sunday Services Questionnaire – Thank you for completing these. Full results will be provided in due course.

Methodist Walks – As the military appears unable to guarantee that we’ll get access to Donyland Woods in September the decision has been made to alter the planned walks for September and October. Assuming that access will be possible into Donyland Woods in October, the arrangements will now be:

Wednesday 17th September (afternoon) – ‘Workhouse Green, Lamarsh and Bures Linear Walk’

Tuesday 7th October (afternoon) – ‘Fingringhoe Circular’

Offerings for last Sunday: £276.50

Farewell Service at Marks Tey – 3:30pm. Everyone welcome. There will be refreshments after the service with an opportunity to view an exhibition of photographs.

Other Events

Family Fun Day organised by Seeking God’s Blessing for Colchester will be held in Castle Park on Saturday 13th September from 11:00am to 4:00pm. This event will include crafts and activities as well as Church related experiences.

Please see the poster on the Notice Board.

Seeking God’s Blessing for Colchester – an evening with Paul Cowley on Thursday 25th September. This will take place at St Johns Community Centre and will include a meal.

Embroidery Exhibition at West Bergholt Methodist Church on Saturday 27th September from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Donations to Action for Children.
