A very warm welcome to you especially if you are a visitor or will be joining us through the Recording Ministry and to our own minister Revd Ruth Ridge who leading our Harvest Festival with Holy Communion this morning.

Please join us for refreshments in the Garling Room after the Service.

Prayer Ministry – if you would like a prayer for yourself or someone else, please speak with one of the Stewards after the morning service.

Recording Ministry – If you do not usually receive a DVD of our services please speak to Stephen Suthernwood or ring him on 01206 540988 to obtain a copy.

Prayer Requests: Rose & Peter Bobby, Dorothy Cardey, Charles Cronin, Barbara Duller, Emily Grote, Kim Ogden (in hospital) and Ruth, Joan Rouse, Richard & May Walters and Robin Wilkinson.

Please pray for our Minister Revd Ruth Ridge and all those who minister to the people of God, especially this week for Castle Methodist Church.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

Harvest Festival – a very big thank you for all your donations to the Colchester Food Bank.

Harvest Tea – Sunday 12th October at 4:30pm. This will be followed by Songs of Praise at 6:30pm. Please add your name to the list on the notice board if you will be coming for the Tea.

Tea & Coffee Rota – We could still do with some extra help after the Sunday morning services with making tea and coffee. Please see Alan if you can help.

Other Events

Wimpole Road Methodist Church invite you to their Open Church and Flower Festival on Sunday 28th September from 2:00 to 4:30pm in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Cre8 10th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday 4th October at 3pm at Plume Avenue Church. Cre8 will present some dance and lead some prayers. The Cantus Firmus Choir will be contributing as well. See poster on notice board.

Quiz Night at West Bergholt on Saturday 4th October. 7pm start. Please phone Judith Fletcher on 241969 to book your table – £16 for a four person team.

International Justice Mission are running an Advocacy Training Day for all who are interested in the issue of justice. This will take place at Christ Church, Colchester on Saturday 11th October from 10:00am to 4:15pm. Further information is on the Notice Board.

Mersea Harvest Supper – ‘Raise the Roof’ on Saturday 18th October at 7:00pm. Musical entertainment by Alan Jenkins and his daughter Anna. Please see the poster on the notice board for more details.
