We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor or will be joining us through the Recording Ministry and to Revd Martin Camroux who is leading our worship this morning.

Refreshments will be served in the Garling Room after the service.

Our very dear friend Grace Daldry sadly passed away last Sunday. Please keep Gerald and the rest of the family in your prayers at this time. A funeral service for Grace will be held here at Lexden on Monday 21st September at 12 noon.

Please pray for our Ministers Revd Alan Jenkins and Revd Ken Chalmers and all those who minister to the people of God.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

General Notices

Harvest Festival – this will be held on Sunday 27th September and as usual we will be collecting food stuffs for the Colchester Food Bank. They would really appreciate cans of soup, vegetables, meat and fish. Also packets of rice and pasta as well as cereals and biscuits. From next week there will be a box in the vestibule for your contributions. There are also envelopes for cash donations.

9:30 – 11:30am – Spanish Class using the Garling Room

Thursday 10th

9:30 – 9:50am – Morning Prayer – please leave car park for Time for Tots

10:00 – 11:30am – Time for Tots

11:00am – Worship led by Betty Rampling

Refreshments afterwards

6:30pm – Songs of Praise led by John Hampshire

Other Events

Thursday Lunchtime Worship at Castle Methodist Church starting on Thursday 3rd September from 1pm for about 25 minutes. The first Thursday of the month will be led by one of the ministers and will include Holy Communion. The other Thursday worship sessions will be led by a local preacher.

Free Family Fun Festival in Lower Castle Park on Saturday 12th September arranged by churches and Christian organisations in Colchester. Activities planned so far include bouncy castles, a dog show, games, crafts and live music – all for free. Refreshments will also be available.
