We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor or will be joining us through the Recording Ministry and to Brian Llewellyn who is leading our worship this morning.

Please pray for our Ministers Revd Paul Howes, Revd Ken Chalmers and Revd Alan Jenkins and all those who minister to the people of God. Also for Revd Steve Swann who will be joining the Circuit in September.
Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone who needs our prayers.

Our Coffee Morning next Saturday 3rd September will be in support of Open Doors, a Christian charity who supports persecuted Christians throughout the world. At the moment they are working in Syria where Christian churches are being systematically destroyed. They have a world day of prayer planned for November but in the meantime we can help them by raising money through our bring and buy.
Methodist Walkers – please note the change of walk on Tuesday 13th September. This will now be a linear walk starting at Fordstreet and walking back to Stanway along the Essex Way. Meet at Musk Close at 1:30pm to catch the number 88 bus at 1:50pm.

Welcome Service for Revd Steve Swann on Thursday 1st September at 7:30pm will be at St Albright’s C of E on Church Lane, Stanway. There will be refreshments afterwards in St Albright’s Church Hall. Everyone is welcome – please be aware there is limited parking beside the church.
Eight Ash Green Methodist Church ‘Moving On’. See the Lexden Link for more information about this. The weekend of activities will commence with a Jazz Night on Friday 2nd September – 8pm till late. Open Church on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September with displays and memorabilia. Refreshments will be available. Service of Celebration on Sunday 4th September at 3:00pm with Revd Ruth Ridge. Free Family Fun Festival organised by Seeking God’s Blessing for Colchester will be on Saturday 10th September at Castle Park Colchester. There will be live music, shows, games, craft activities and rides all for free. Refreshments will also be available. Volunteers needed for the Methodist stall. Please see the poster on the notice board for more information.
Charlie Connor – induction service on Sunday 11th September at 6:30pm at Priory Methodist Church, Bedford.
Harvest Festival Lunch on Sunday 9th October 12:30 for a 1pm start followed by a church service at 3pm in which children will be invited to take part. Please add your name to the list on the notice board if you will be here for lunch. Don’t forget we will not be having our normal morning service on this day.
