Please pray for our Minister Revd Paul Howes and the circuit team ministers Revd Alan Jenkins, Revd Ken Chalmers and Revd Steve Swann and all those who minister to the people of God.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone who needs our prayers.

GENERAL NOTICES

Stamps – thank you for bringing in your stamps. They have now been passed to the local co-ordinator for Guide Dogs for the Blind. You can bring in stamps at any time during the year and there is a box for these in the entrance vestibule.

Church Council Meeting is on Wednesday 15th February. Can all those members who have reports to prepare please pass them to Viv by the end of this month.

Daffodil Day – Monday 6th March 2017 at Westminster Central Hall. Theme – Life Changing Prayer. A coach is booked to go from the circuit, cost £17. For more info or to book a place contact Viv Wilcox on 01206 545083. vmwilcox

Circuit Notices

Colchester Overcomers are planning to run a Christian 12-step program called "The Recovery Course" to facilitate people in Colchester becoming free from addictions. eg: Gambling, porn, social media, alcohol, over-eating etc. They are seeking assistance from other Christians in Colchester with experience of overcoming addiction through a 12-step program. Training on ‘The Recovery Course’ will be provided. Anyone interested in helping, or any questions please contact Trevor Salmon: trevorsalmon or 07802 342438

Opportunity to sing at this year’s Good Friday service at Mercury Theatre Cantus Firmus choir will be singing this year. Singers do NOT have to be members of this choir already. If you are interested in taking part then there is fuller information on the notice board or please contact David Gunton on david.gunton by the end of this month.

Forthcoming Events

West Bergholt Methodist Church New Year Social Afternoon takes place on Saturday 28th January from 3 to 5:30pm in the hall on Chapel Lane. There will be a variety of puzzle and quizzes. You are asked to bring food to share. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Abbeyfield Community Project United Service on Sunday 5th February at 6:30pm at Christ Church Ireton Road. A service of Worship celebrating Church and community. Everyone welcome
