Prayer Requests – Please remember all those on our prayer list.

Please pray for our Ministers Rev Paul Howes, Rev Alan Jenkins and Rev Ken Chalmers and all those who minister to the people of God.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

Gift Aid – if you are a low wage/pension earner and have set up Gift Aid on your weekly offering please speak with Bill. Under the new regulations if you have not paid sufficient tax to cover your Gift Aid donation you may have to make up the difference in income tax to HMRC. Also see Bill or Janet Bloxham if you would like to be part of the weekly envelope scheme.

If you are able to host one of our monthly Coffee Mornings for charity please add your name to the list on the notice board.

Other Events

Seeking God’s Blessing for Colchester invite us to share Holy Communion on St Helena’s day – Saturday 18th August – at 9am at the site of the Roman Chapel next to the Police Station on the Maldon Road roundabout. The service will be led by the Bishop of Colchester. Refreshments afterwards will be served at the new Beacon House in Crouch Street.

Colchester Churches Family Fun Festival at Lower Castle Park on Saturday 15th September from 11am to 4pm. Free entry.

Mission Shaped Ministry – a one year part-time learning journey available in the Colchester area starting on Saturday 22nd September. Please see the notice board for further information, contact details and booking form.

Farewell Celebration for West Bergholt Methodist Church on the weekend of 29th and 30th September. More details to follow nearer the time.
