Notices 19 April 2020

Notices for Week Commencing 19th April 2020

We hope you are all keeping safe and well. Our church remains closed in line with government guidance for the control of the Coronavirus Covid-19.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ. (Philippians 4:6)

Prayer Requests – Please remember all those on our prayer list. Also the royal family, the government, the NHS, carers, volunteers and especially the families of those who have lost their battle with Covid-19.

Please pray for our Circuit Ministers Rev Joe Adams, Rev Ken Chalmers and Rev Alan Jenkins.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

(1 Thessalonians 5:17)

Worship from home – if you haven’t already done so why not check out the circuit channel on YouTube called Colchester Methodists.
On there you will find talks from our Ministers and a new service each Sunday.

Are you clapping for the NHS and all other support workers on a Thursday evening? This is a wonderful way to check your neighbours are OK without breaking social distancing rules. We are also being encouraged to open our windows on Tuesday morning (21st April) at 9am and sing Happy Birthday to the Queen. This is not just for the Queen but to remember anyone else who has a birthday that day but can’t celebrate with friends and family.

If you need prayer or help in any way please contact your pastoral visitor or you can call Rev Joe Adams on 331413
