LEXDEN METHODIST CHURCH
Notices for Week Commencing 14th November 2021
Greater love has no-one than this; that he lay down his life for his friends.
John 15 v 13
A very warm welcome to you especially if you are a visitor and to Sally Crafer who is leading worship with us for the very first time this morning.
Prayer Requests – Please pray for all military personal and veterans and the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Please pray for our Circuit Ministers Rev Joe Adams, Rev Ken Chalmers and Rev Alan Jenkins.
Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.
Christmas Giving – it was agreed at the church council that we would support the Queen Victoria Seamen’s Rest this Christmas. This was originally set up to provide accommodation and welfare support for merchant sailors, members of the Royal Navy, the Fleet Air Arm and other units with maritime links, although they now welcome servicemen from across all the armed forces and homeless men from many different walks of life. We hope to be able to provide Christmas gifts of men’s toiletries, toothbrushes and toothpaste, knitted hats, gloves, fingerless mitts, E45 cream, hand cream for extra dry skin, sweets, chocolate and Haribos. There is a box in the entrance for your donations. Many thanks to those who have already given.

We are unable to provide tea and coffee at the moment.
Sunday Service on DVD – We are now able to record our own services again – many thanks to Geoff for sorting this out. If you, or anyone you know, would like a copy of the service please speak with Geoff or one of the stewards.
