PRAYER

Prayer Requests – Please remember the family of Harold Emms in your prayers. He sadly passed away earlier this week. The funeral will be held at the Colchester Crematorium.

Please pray for our Ministers Rev Joe Adams and especially Rev Ken Chalmers and Rev Alan Jenkins as they enter retirement.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

NOTICES

The Methodist Prayer Handbooks 2022/2023 is now available. Price £4.65. Please take a copy and leave your money in the box provided.

The Welcome Service for Rev Chris Preece will be held at Castle on Thursday 1st September at 7:30pm with refreshments served after the service. Please note there will be no car parking available for this service except for those with disabilities. Please take time to read the introduction to Chris on the notice board.

Rev Joe Adams has invited us to an open day at the Manse with afternoon tea on Friday 2nd September between 2pm and 5pm. Please let Alan or Christine know if you will be attending so that we can provide Joe with numbers. Thank you.

Helen Beesley is walking a million steps for Diabetes UK during the Summer months. This is in support of her son Alex who has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
