A very warm welcome to you all especially if you are a visitor and to those who will be watching the DVD during the week and to Ron Firmin who is leading our worship this morning in place of Rev Joe Adams.

PRAYER

Prayer Requests – Please pray for the family of David Ablewhite who tragically passed away on Monday.

Please pray for our Ministers Rev Joe Adams and Rev Chris Preece.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

NOTICES
Holy Communion will now take place at the end of our Carol Service on Sunday December 18th. The extra Church Council meeting planned for this Sunday will also take place then.

Carol Service – if anyone would like to read a poem or a bible passage please see Christine or Viv after today’s service. Thank you.

Christmas Giving for the Methodist Seamen’s Mission known as Queen Victoria Seamen’s Rest. Thank you to everyone who contributed. If you still have anything to donate please see Viv or Geoff.

Advent Candles – thank you to Janet Smith for arranging the wreath for us again this year. As we will not be meeting every Sunday in Advent we will be lighting the candles during Thursday prayer time as well.

The funeral for Ron Banyard will take place on Wednesday 7th December. There will be a committal service at the crematorium at 10:30am for family and close friends. This will be followed by a memorial service at Castle Methodist Church where everyone is welcome to attend.

Sunday Services on DVD – If you, or anyone you know, would like a copy of our Sunday morning service on DVD please speak with Geoff or one of the stewards.

Midweek Prayer Time – every Thursday from 9:30am. A short service of prayer and reflection. Everyone welcome.
