We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor and to those who will be watching the DVD during the week and to Rev Paul Howes who is leading our worship with Holy Communion this morning.

Tea and Coffee will be served after the service and we are grateful to Mel Howes for arranging this.

PRAYER

Prayer Requests – Please pray for the people in Turkey and Syria affected by the earthquake. May God be with the rescuers and those providing comfort to the injured, the homeless and those grieving the loss of loved ones.
Please pray for the family of David Geary – one of our Tea Club members – who suddenly passed away Tuesday evening.

Please pray for our Ministers Rev Joe Adams and Rev Chris Preece.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

NOTICES

Chair of District – Rev Dr David Chapman – will be leading worship at Mersea Methodist Church on Sunday 26th February at 9:30am. As we do not have a service here at Lexden on that day it would be nice if as many of us as possible could support Mersea by attending their service. Please see Alan if you would like a lift.

Serving the Present Age – Circuit day on Saturday 4th March between 10am and 3pm at The Ark. There will be a ‘bring and share’ lunch – please take something savoury. Please let us know by 27th February if you will be attending.

The Methodist Ramblers next walk is on Tuesday 7th March starting from Lexden Methodist Church at 1.30pm

Sunday Services on DVD – If you, or anyone you know, would like a copy of our Sunday morning service on DVD please speak with Geoff or one of the stewards.

Midweek Prayer Time – every Thursday from 9:30am. A short service of prayer and reflection. Everyone welcome.
