LEXDEN METHODIST CHURCH
Notices for Week Commencing 16th April 2023
“Peace be with you.” John 20 v 19
We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor and to those who will be watching the DVD during the week and to Ron Firmin who is leading our worship this morning.
PRAYER
Prayer Requests – Please keep Alan Beesley in your prayers following his recent stay in hospital.
Please pray for our Ministers Rev Joe Adams and Rev Chris Preece.
Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.
NOTICES
Easter Offering envelopes – please can these be returned today. Thank you to everyone who has brought theirs in.
The Annual Church Meeting will now take place on Wednesday 26th April at 2:15pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
On 23rd April the government is doing a test alert as part of the new Emergency Alert system. Mobile phone masts in the surrounding area will broadcast an alert. Every compatible mobile phone or tablet in range of a mast will receive the alert.
If anyone has a secret mobile phone hidden from an abusive partner, remember to switch it off or put it in airplane mode. The alert will say:
“This is a test of Emergency Alerts, a new UK government service that will warn you if there is a life threatening emergency nearby.” E.g. severe flooding.
Sunday Services on DVD – If you, or anyone you know, would like a copy of our Sunday morning service on DVD please speak with Geoff or one of the stewards. We are very grateful to Clive Carrington for fixing the recording system for us.
Midweek Prayer Time and Friendly Tea Club are temporarily on hold while Alan is convalescing.
