NOTICES

Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Rachel Allen will take place on Friday 9th February at 12 noon at Wivenhoe Methodist Church. Please keep her family in your prayers during this time.

Mersea Methodist Church are holding a quiz night on Saturday 24th February at 6:30pm. Supper included, suggested donation £5 towards church funds. Please call Ann on 386841 if you are attending.

Scam Watch – we’ve been made aware of a scam targeting elderly people in Colchester. They receive a phone call from someone alleging they are from the doctor’s surgery and informing the victim they need an additional medication to counteract the side-effects of a medication they are already taking. They inform the victim this is not available on the NHS and must be paid for at a cost of £60 or more. The victim is then tricked into passing over their account details for the payment. Please be aware in case you receive a call like this because it is all false.
