PRAYER

Please keep Frank and Maud in your prayers.

Please pray for our Ministers – Rev Chris Preece and Rev Hannah Chun. Also pray for our Anna Chaplain Jastine Diaz.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

NOTICES

Harvest Festival Food Bank collection – we collected an amazing 50.3 kg of food and other items. There was also a collection of money which is being sent separately. Well done everyone.

Mersea Harvest Weekend – 11th and 12th October. There will be a musical evening on Saturday. Please see the poster on the notice board for details.

Church Council Meeting – Wednesday 15th October at 2:15pm. Everyone welcome.

Circuit Monthly Prayer meeting will take place from 9am at The Ark on Saturday 11th October led by Christine Firmin.

Circuit Planning – a meeting was held to discuss the way forward to manage future services where there is a shortage of local preachers. A copy of the report is on the notice board. One of the suggestions made was livestreaming a service (probably Castle Methodist Church) on a Sunday when no preacher was available. Alan is looking into the possibility of arranging this.

Link to Hope – we shall be collecting for their shoebox appeal again this year. You can fill a shoebox – labels will soon be available – or bring in any of the items on the contents list available on the table in the entrance. These boxes provide much needed Christmas joy to families or the elderly so we ask you to be generous in your giving.
If you have any spare shoeboxes at home, please can you bring these in.

Sunday Services on DVD – If you, or anyone you know, would like a copy of our Sunday morning service on DVD please speak with Geoff or one of the stewards.

Midweek Prayer Time – every Thursday. A short service of prayer and reflection. Everyone welcome.
