LEXDEN METHODIST CHURCH

Notices for Week Commencing 1st March 2026

“No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
John 3 v 3

We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor and to those who will be watching the DVD during the week and to Rev Chris Preece who is leading our worship this morning. Please join us for tea and coffee after the service.

PRAYER

Please pray for our Ministers – Rev Chris Preece and Rev Hannah Chun. Also pray for our Anna Chaplain Jastine Diaz.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

NOTICES

Our next Sunday service is Mothering Sunday. We would like to have as many women as possible involved in the service. If you have a reading or poem you would like to share or have a favourite hymn, please let Viv or Christine know as soon as possible.

A funeral service for Roz Carrington will take place at Lexden Methodist Church followed by a burial – probably at St Albright’s. As soon as we have a date we will let you know.

Circuit Together Day – “Shaped by God” with a focus on Psalm 139. Saturday 7th March 10am to 2:30pm at Mersea Methodist Church. Please bring your own lunch and share in fun, fellowship and worship. It would help the organisers if they know how many are attending so, please add your name to the list on the notice board.

Maundy Thursday – 2nd April at 10am we will hold our Love Feast again this year and Sheila has offered to host it at her house. Thank you, Sheila.

Link to Hope – thank you once again to everyone who contributed to this worthwhile shoebox appeal. It has been suggested that we collect items throughout the year to help spread the cost. For example: – 1 Cutlery, 2 Lavender bag or other sensory gift, 3 Socks, 4 Hot water bottle, 5 Pen and paper, 6 Reading glasses, 7 Gloves, 8 Boiled sweets, 9 Soap and flannel, 10 Toothbrush and toothpaste. Plus, knitted knee blankets 1m x 1m always appreciated and handed out with each box. We have a cupboard in the vestry to store donations. Many thanks for the items already donated.
