NOTICES

Harvest Festival Food Bank collection – we collected an amazing 50.3 kg of food and other items. There was also a collection of money which is being sent separately. Well done everyone.

Mersea Harvest Weekend – 11th and 12th October. There will be a musical evening on Saturday. Please see the poster on the notice board for details.

Church Council Meeting – Wednesday 15th October at 2:15pm. Everyone welcome.

Circuit Monthly Prayer meeting will take place from 9am at The Ark on Saturday 11th October led by Christine Firmin.

Circuit Planning – a meeting was held to discuss the way forward to manage future services where there is a shortage of local preachers. A copy of the report is on the notice board. One of the suggestions made was livestreaming a service (probably Castle Methodist Church) on a Sunday when no preacher was available. Alan is looking into the possibility of arranging this.

Colchester Circuit Christmas Celebration. If you are prepared to join a small group of people to help organise the event please contact Tony Trevers. It is anticipated you will meet about four times via Zoom and each meeting should take no longer than about 1½ hours. There will also be some work to do at the event but nothing strenuous. Everyone had a great deal of fun and enjoyment organising the previous events and Tony looks forward to hearing from you.
