A very warm welcome to you, especially if you are a visitor or will be joining us through the Recording Ministry and to our Minister, Revd Ruth Ridge who is leading our Holy Communion Service. We also welcome Cicely Kentish-Sawyer who is being received into membership this morning.

Please join us for refreshments in the Garling Room after the Service.

Prayer Ministry – if you would like a prayer for yourself or someone else, members of the prayer team will be available at the front of the Church after the morning service.

Recording Ministry – If you do not usually receive a DVD of our services please speak to Stephen Suthernwood or ring him on 01206 540988 to obtain a copy.

Prayer Requests – Ron Bates, Rose and Peter Bobby, Florrie Cronin, Frank Faircloth, Rita Moss, Kim and Ruth Ogden, Joan Rouse, Richard and May Walters and Robin Wilkinson.

Please pray for our Minister Revd Ruth Ridge and all those who minister to the people of God, especially this week for Wivenhoe Methodist Church.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

GENERAL NOTICES

Mother’s Day posies a very big thank you to the ladies who prepared these.

Agapé Meal on Thursday March 28th at 7pm. Everyone welcome. Please add your name to the list on the notice board.

Harvest Festival- Thank you to everyone who completed the questionnaire. As the majority of our congregation would rather not travel to Marks Tey we will have a normal service here on Sunday 15th September and a harvest festival service of our own at the end of September.

Offerings for last Sunday: £357.70

Beacon House We are collecting for Beacon House again during March. Please see list of necessities in the vestibule. Money is always welcome as well and there are envelopes for your donations.

10:30am – Morning Worship led by Meryle Longley
Children welcome. Refreshments afterwards

Other Events

Lent Quiet Morning Saturday 23rd March at Christ Church, Ireton Road. 9:00am to 1:00pm. Bring a packed lunch – tea and coffee provided.

Reflections for Holy Week – see notice board for full details. These will last about 20 minutes and will be led by Revd Ruth Ridge.

Lexden Choral Society invites you to come and enjoy singing Handel’s ‘Messiah from Scratch’. Saturday 20th April at St Leonard’s Church. See poster.

Be Heard, Be Seen a workshop for young people and youth leaders will be held at Highwoods Church on Saturday 27th April. Further information available on request.

Quiet Day 13th April. More details to follow.
