Mothering Sunday

We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor or will be joining us through the Recording Ministry and to Revd Ruth Ridge who is leading our worship with Holy Communion this morning.

Please join us for refreshments in the Garling Room after the Service.

Prayer Ministry – if you would like a prayer for yourself or someone else, members of the prayer team will be available at the front of the Church after the morning service.

Recording Ministry – If you do not usually receive a DVD of our services please speak to Stephen Suthernwood or ring him on 01206 540988 to obtain a copy.


Prayer Requests: Rose & Peter Bobby, Dorothy Cardey, Charles & Florrie Cronin, Barbara Duller, Joan Rouse, Richard & May Walters and Robin Wilkinson.

Please pray for our Minister Revd Ruth Ridge and all those who minister to the people of God, especially this week for The Ark Methodist Church.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

General Notices

Beacon House – We are collecting for Beacon House this month. There is a list of requirements by the box in the entrance vestibule. They can always do with clothes, especially men’s tops and trousers. There are also envelopes available for gifts of money.

Lexden Link – Don’t forget to pick up your copy of the Spring edition of our quarterly magazine today.

Agapé Meal – Thursday 17th April starting at 7:00pm. Please add your name to the list on the notice board if you will be coming. This will be a simple meal of bread and cheese with Holy Communion.

Can you see the hero in Jesus? – At the Mercury Theatre on Good Friday 18th April at 7:30pm – presented by the Churches in the South of Colchester. Admission is free and there will be a retiring offertory.

Good Friday – there will be a March of Witness through the town centre led by the Salvation Army. This is open to everyone! Please assemble at the Salvation Army Citadel in Butt Road at 11.45am ready to move off at 12 noon. The march will finish at the War Memorial outside the Castle.
