PRAYER

Prayer Requests – Please remember all those on our prayer list.

Please pray for our Ministers Rev Paul Howes, Rev Ken Chalmers and especially Rev Alan Jenkins who is undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox Appeal – many thanks to everyone who gave to this. Our boxes, gifts and money have started their journey to those children in need. Please remember them in your prayers.

We are collecting for Beacon House throughout November. Any donations of clothing, food, toiletries or money can be placed in the box that is in the vestibule. Thank you

The next walk is on Tuesday 4th December to Harwich/Dovercourt – please let Avril or Nigel know if you are going so they can inform the Pier Café in advance.

Other Events

Seeking God’s Blessing for Colchester invites you to a service of worship led by the Cantus Firmus Colchester Choir and the Salvation Army Songsters. This evening at 6:30pm at Plume Avenue Church. Retiring offering, after expenses, towards the St Peter’s Guesthouse project.

Taize Service at Christ Church URC, Ireton Road on Wednesday 28th November at 7:15pm. Refreshments afterwards.

Journey to the Stable a reflective advent experience at Mile End Methodist Church on Saturday 1st December any time between 10am and 4pm.

Christmas Concert at St Botolph’s Church performed by the band of the Parachute Regiment on Thursday 13th December. Doors open 7pm.

Age Concern Colchester Christmas Fete on Friday 14th December from 10am to 2pm at 63 North Hill Colchester.
