LEXDEN METHODIST CHURCH

Notices for Week Commencing 17th October 2021

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.– Mark 10 v 45

We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor and Rev Paul Howes who is leading our worship with Holy Communion this morning.

PRAYER

Prayer Requests – Please keep Rev Joe Adams in your prayers.

Please pray for our Circuit Ministers Rev Joe Adams, Rev Ken Chalmers and Rev Alan Jenkins.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

NOTICES

Christmas Giving – it was agreed at the church council that we would support the Queen Victoria Seamen’s Rest this Christmas. This was originally set up to provide accommodation and welfare support for merchant sailors, members of the Royal Navy, the Fleet Air Arm and other units with maritime links, although they now welcome servicemen from across all the armed forces and homeless men from many different walks of life. We hope to be able to provide Christmas gifts of toiletries and many other things as well. Further information to come.

Covid Regulations – You must sign in on arrival or use the QR code. For the safety of visiting preachers, as well as our congregation, we are still following social distancing guidelines and everyone must sanitise their hands and wear a facemask at all times. We are unable to provide tea and coffee at the moment.

Morning Prayer Time – every Thursday at 9:30am. Please sign-in as you enter and collect a prayer card.

Circuit Service on DVD – If you, or anyone you know, would like a copy of the circuit service please speak with Geoff Wilcox or one of the stewards.

If you are visiting us for the first time please add your name to our Visitor’s Book which is on the bookcase in the entrance vestibule. Many thanks.
