Notices 5 December 2021

Notices for Week Commencing 5th December 2021

Second Sunday in Advent

We light the second candle to symbolise our peace, as we
eagerly anticipate the coming reign of the Prince of Peace.

Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight paths for Him. Mark 1 v 3

We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor and to Jonathan Sparkes who is leading worship with us this morning.

Prayer Requests – Please pray for all medical personal and pray Christmas will be a quiet time for them.

Please pray for our Circuit Ministers Rev Joe Adams, Rev Ken Chalmers and Rev Alan Jenkins.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

Covid Regulations – We will continue with these for the time being and ask that you still sign-in on arrival or use the QR code. For the safety of visiting preachers, as well as our congregation, we are still following social distancing guidelines and everyone must sanitise their hands and wear a facemask at all times. We are unable to provide tea and coffee at the moment.

Christmas Services – we are unable to hold our usual candlelight carol service in the evening this year so we are having a Sunday Morning Carol Service instead on 19th December. We can still have readings and poems as well as our favourite carols. Alan and Christine will be asking for readers.
A short Christmas Day Service will be led by Alan Beesley starting at 9:45am.
We will be closed on Sunday 26th December. A Circuit service will be available on-line and on DVD. Please see Geoff if you would like a copy of the DVD.

Morning Prayer Time – every Thursday at 9:30am. Please collect a prayer card as you come in.

Sunday Service on DVD – We are now able to record our own services again – many thanks to Geoff for sorting this out. If you, or anyone you know, would like a copy of the service please speak with Geoff or one of the stewards.

If you are visiting us for the first time please add your name to our Visitor’s Book which is on the bookcase in the entrance vestibule. Many thanks.
