We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor and to those who will be watching during the week on the DVD and to Jo Eckersley who is leading our Palm Sunday worship this morning.

PRAYER

Prayer Requests – Please pray for the people of Ukraine and pray for peace.

Please pray for our Circuit Ministers Rev Joe Adams, Rev Ken Chalmers and Rev Alan Jenkins.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

NOTICES

Easter Day at Lexden – our Sunday service with Holy Communion on Easter day – 17th April – will be at 3pm and will be led by Rev Paul Howes. We will not have a morning service next week.

Friendly Tea Club will start again this Tuesday – 12th April 2-4pm. New members always welcome.

During the Annual Church Meeting it was agreed, on a trial basis, that we would hold just two services a month on the first and third Sunday with tea and coffee served afterwards. This will start in June when the next quarterly plan comes out. We will continue to hold the Thursday prayer time on a weekly basis.

Lent Giving – a massive thank you to everyone who donated to the Food Bank. If you still have some items you would like to give please see Alan or Christine.

Easter Offering – please return your envelope by next week. Thank you. The Easter Offering service will be on 8th May.

Midweek Prayer Time – every Thursday from 9:30am. A short service of prayer and reflection. Everyone welcome.

Sunday Services on DVD – If you, or anyone you know, would like a copy of our Sunday morning service on DVD please speak with Geoff or one of the stewards.

Zoom Morning Prayers for Holy Week – Monday 11th to Good Friday. Please email colchestermethodist.super@gmail for Zoom invitation.

Maundy Thursday – Communion and Tenebrae at the Ark from 7:30pm led by Rev Ken Chalmers.

Good Friday:-
Mersea Island from 10am led by Rev Joe Adams followed by a walk of witness.

Wimpole Road from 10am led by Sally Crafer and Jonathan Sparkes followed by a walk of witness.

Reflective Zoom Service from 10:30am led by The Ark’s Reflections Team. Please email rachelvs110 for Zoom invitation.

The Well from 3pm led by Rev Ken Chalmers.
