LEXDEN METHODIST CHURCH

Notices for Week Commencing 17th April 2022

“He is not here; he has risen!” Luke 24 v 6

A very warm welcome to you all especially if you are a visitor and to those who will be watching during the week on the DVD and to Rev Paul Howes who is leading our Easter Day worship with Holy Communion this morning.

PRAYER

Prayer Requests – Please pray for Laurie Berris and family following the sad passing of Lidia during the week.

Please pray for our Circuit Ministers Rev Joe Adams, Rev Ken Chalmers and Rev Alan Jenkins.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

NOTICES

Easter Offering – Thank you to everyone who has returned their offering envelope. We still have some left if you would like to donate. The Easter Offering service will be on Sunday 8th May.

Lent Giving – we collected a massive 61.75kg of food and other items for a very grateful food bank as well as £30 in money. Well done everyone.

Friendly Tea Club has started again. Every Tuesday 2-4pm. New members are always welcome.

During the Annual Church Meeting it was agreed, on a trial basis, that we would hold just two services a month on the first and third Sunday with tea and coffee served afterwards. This will start in June when the next quarterly plan comes out. We will continue to hold the Thursday prayer time on a weekly basis.

Midweek Prayer Time – every Thursday from 9:30am. A short service of prayer and reflection. Everyone welcome.

Sunday Services on DVD – If you, or anyone you know, would like a copy of our Sunday morning service on DVD please speak with Geoff or one of the stewards.
