Our Harvest Festival donations of food and money have been taken to the Colchester Food Bank. Thank you to Alan for doing this. They have asked us to thank everyone for their generous contributions.

Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal – if you would like to fill a shoebox we have some ready-made boxes or you can wrap a shoebox in Christmas paper. Leaflets detailing what to pack are available in the vestibule. We also have envelopes for money donations. Please can all these be returned to church by Sunday 5th November. Many thanks

Introit ‘God of Almighty Love’ H&P 793

Prayer Changes Everything – from September there will be a monthly Circuit Prayer Event held at Castle Methodist Church on the first Saturday of the month at 9:30am lasting around 30 minutes. The first one will be 2nd September.

Free Family Fun Day arranged by Seeking God’s Blessing for Colchester will be held in the Lower Castle Park on Saturday 16th September from 11am to 4pm. Everyone welcome.

Coffee Morning Hosts – we could still do with some more volunteers to serve tea and coffee at our monthly bring and buys. We are collecting for Action for Children in August. Please let Christine or Alan know if there is a local charity you think would benefit from one of our charity days.

Young People’s Gathering – do you know anyone aged 10-18? Colchester Methodist Circuit are starting a new group for young people to get together, have fun and look at faith and issues that concern them. Initial gathering on Sunday 9th July at 7pm at The Ark. Please take a flyer if you know of someone who would be interested.
