The funeral service for Dorothy Cardey will take place here at Lexden Methodist Church on Thursday 4th February at 12:30pm followed by burial at Colchester Cemetery at 1:30pm. After this there will be refreshments in the Garling Room. Anyone who would rather remain here and not attend the burial will be more than welcome to stay – tea or coffee will be available.

A very big thank you to everyone who brought in stamps over the Christmas period. They have been sent to the Royal National Institute of Blind People who can raise money from new and used British and foreign stamps to support research into sight loss and eye health issues.

Beacon House – we will be collecting throughout November. They would love clothing, toiletries and food as well as items listed on the sign by the box in the vestibule which is there for your donations.

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal – a very big thank you to everyone who filled a shoebox or made a donation of money or gifts. Our gifts have now made a start on their long journey to children who would otherwise go without at Christmas.

The Nativity based on the East Anglian Mystery Plays will be performed at the Headgate Theatre Colchester on 15th, 16th and 17th December at 7:30pm. Please see the poster on the notice board or call the box office on 01206 366000 for more information.
