PRAYER

Please pray for our Ministers – Rev Chris Preece as she goes on her sabbatical and Rev Hannah Chun.

Continue to pray for all others who are in any way troubled, lonely, unwell or bereaved and anyone else who needs our prayers.

NOTICES

Rev Chris Preece is on Sabbatical from 1st April to 30th June this year. Some of her time will be spent away but she will be also spending some time in the Manse. If anyone has any urgent matters then they should be referred to Tony Trevers or Helen Hunt. Rev Dr David Chapman will be holding the Superintendency during Chris’s sabbatical but Tony and Helen will act as the first port of call. Urgent pastoral matters for Chris’s churches should be directed to Rev Paul Howes. It is important that Hannah does not pick up any additional duties during this time.

Love Feast –on Maundy Thursday 17th April at 10am is led by Rev Hannah Chun. Many thanks to Sheila Dempsey for arranging this. Please note there will not be a midweek prayer time on this Thursday.

A Testimony Service for Rev Hannah Chun will take place on Sunday 11th May at Wimpole Road Methodist 6.30pm. They are planning to livestream the service if possible. David Chapman will open the service and Chris Preece will be preaching.
Although, Chris will be on sabbatical, she will be at the testimony service and at Hannah’s ordination.

Rev Hannah Chun is due to be ordained on Sunday 29th June in Telford. Following the morning service, where she will be received into Full Connexion, the ordination service will take place at St Chad’s church in Shrewsbury from 4pm. It is hoped both services will be live streamed into Wimpole Road for people to be involved in celebrating Hannah’s special day.

The Story of Jonah – Geoff has managed to secure a few copies of last Sunday’s service at Castle when Jonathon Sparkes dealt with exploring Jonah chapter 2. Please contact Geoff if you would like a copy. Alternatively, it can be seen on Television or home computer by going to YouTube, searching for Castle Methodist Church and selecting the service for 9th February 2025.
