NOTICES

Christmas Giving – it was agreed at the church council that we would support the Queen Victoria Seamen’s Rest this Christmas. This was originally set up to provide accommodation and welfare support for merchant sailors, members of the Royal Navy, the Fleet Air Arm and other units with maritime links, although they now welcome servicemen from across all the armed forces and homeless men from many different walks of life. We hope to be able to provide Christmas gifts of men’s toiletries, toothbrushes and toothpaste, knitted hats, gloves, fingerless mitts, E45 cream, hand cream for extra dry skin, sweets, chocolate and Haribos.

Covid Regulations – You must sign in on arrival or use the QR code. For the safety of visiting preachers, as well as our congregation, we are still following social distancing guidelines and everyone must sanitise their hands and wear a facemask at all times. We are unable to provide tea and coffee at the moment.

Morning Prayer Time – every Thursday at 9:30am. Please collect a prayer card as you come in.

Circuit Service on DVD – If you, or anyone you know, would like a copy of the circuit service please speak with Geoff Wilcox or one of the stewards.

Jesus wept and Mary cried,
For her brother who had died,
But sometimes love can’t be denied,
For Jesus had God on His side,
And when He called to Lazarus,
The dead man quickly rose,
As proof of faith in our God
Who loves and always knows.

Mercy, O thou Son of David!
Thus blind Bartimaeus prayed;
Others by thy word are saved,
Now to me afford thine aid.
Many for his crying chide him,
But he called the louder still;
Till the gracious Saviour bid him
“Come, and ask me what you will.”
