Methodist Home Association – MHA – if you have not already done so please hand in your envelope today. Don’t forget to complete the Gift Aid box if you are a tax payer.

Gift Aid – if you are a low wage/pension earner and have set up Gift Aid on your weekly offering please speak with Bill. Under the new regulations if you have not paid sufficient tax to cover your Gift Aid donation you may have to make up the difference in income tax to HMRC.

Church Walk on 5 June please meet 11 Musk Close at 1:30pm or the car park near Eight Ash Green cricket club at 1.45pm (left past the Cricketers pub and then on the left). Leaflet available at back of Church. Speak to Avril or Nigel if any queries.

Coffee Morning – it has been suggested that instead of Bring and Buy we hold a Game’s Meeting on the first Saturday of the month. We could have board games like Scrabble and Chess and card games like Bridge and Canasta. Please let Sheila or Christine know if you would be interested in this.

Thy Kingdom Come 2018 has been launched by the Archbishop of Canterbury. This is a worldwide, ecumenical prayer movement calling on all Christians to pray that people might come to know Jesus Christ. Between Ascension Day and Pentecost from Thursday 10th to Sunday 20th May 2018 please use this prayer which thousands of people across the world will be praying.

Almighty God, your ascended Son has sent us into the world to preach the good news of your kingdom: inspire us with your Spirit and fill our hearts with the fire of your love, that all who hear your Word may be drawn to you, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Please note there will not be a service here next Sunday 29th April because we are all attending the circuit service at Castle Methodist Church on that day.

Coffee Morning with Bring and Buy on Saturday 5th May will be in support of RNLI. Please come along if you can at any time between 10am and 11:30am.

MakeLunch is a charity which provides free hot meals for children in need during school holidays. They are looking for volunteers for the summer holidays at Lexden Primary School in Nelson Road. If you are interested in helping or know anyone who would be please speak to Christine B. Thank you.

Colchester Borough and Parish Elections on Thursday 3rd May will see our church being used as a Polling Station. Although Morning Prayer will be held as usual there will not be any Time for Tots on this day.

We offer you a very warm welcome especially if you are a visitor or will be joining us during the week through the Recording Ministry and to Rev Martin Camroux who is leading our worship this morning.

Please stay for refreshments afterwards in the Garling Room.

Recording Ministry – if you do not normally receive a DVD of our services please speak to Stephen Suthernwood or call him on 01206 540988 to obtain a copy.

MakeLunch is a charity which provides free hot meals for children in need during school holidays. They are looking for volunteers for the summer holidays at Lexden Primary School in Nelson Road. If you are interested in helping or know anyone who would be please speak to Christine B. Thank you.

Easter Offering envelopes – please can these be returned today if you haven’t already done so. Don’t forget to complete the Gift Aid declaration if you are a tax payer.

Please note there will not be a service here on Sunday 29th April because we are all attending the circuit service at Castle Methodist Church on that day.

Colchester Borough and Parish Elections on Thursday 3rd May will see our church being used as a Polling Station. Although Morning Prayer will be held as usual there will not be any Time for Tots on this day.
